Migdal Ohr’s Cooking Up a Future is more than a culinary programme; it’s a recipe for hope and securing a better future, opportunity, and independence. This initiative equips at-risk youth with professional skills in culinary arts, tourism, and hospitality, opening the door to meaningful careers in thriving industries in Israel.
This unique programme is run in collaboration with the Israeli Ministry of Education and the Israeli Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Students are officially approved for Tourism and Hotel Management matriculation exams while earning a Level 1 Chef certification from the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Graduates also have the opportunity to enlist in the IDF as chefs, providing further career pathways and stability.
State-of-the-Art Training Facilities
Located in Migdal Ha’Emek on Migdal Ohr’s newly built recreation complex, the Culinary Institute offers:

- Two professional kitchens – one meat and one dairy
- Twelve fully equipped workstations in each kitchen, designed for two students per station
- Ovens, electric stove-tops, sinks, work surfaces, and full professional utensil sets
- Refrigeration and storage units
- A dedicated dining room space where students learn the art of hosting and service – also recognised for matriculation grading
