By living together under one roof in our Foster Family Programme, children, foster parents, and siblings form deep, trusting bonds. In this safe space, children learn essential life skills like communication, responsibility, and resilience. They grow in confidence, begin to dream again, and, most importantly, feel they belong. Migdal Ohr’s Foster Family Programme – Mishpachtonim – is a transformative initiative that creates a true family-style home for children and teenagers who have faced neglect, abandonment, or the trauma of losing their parents.
Unlike traditional care systems that place children in boarding schools or large group homes, Migdal Ohr’s Foster Care model places up to 12 children with a full-time foster couple in a warm, family-like environment. These are our Mishpachton Family Dorms, loving homes on the Migdal Ohr campus.
In each home, the foster parents raise the children as their own – celebrating birthdays, sharing meals, helping with homework, and guiding them through the challenges of growing up. They provide practical care, emotional security, and consistency every child needs to heal and thrive.
