A Place to Heal, Grow and Believe Again
At the heart of Migdal Ohr’s mission is Afikei Ohr Girls’ Youth Village in Migdal Ha’Emek — a safe haven for over 100 teenage girls at risk.
Many of the girls who arrive at Afikei Ohr have experienced deep trauma, instability, neglect or life on the streets. Afikei Ohr is a place where girls can heal, rebuild their confidence and begin to believe in themselves again.
It is where they learn that their voice matters, their potential is real and their story is still unfolding.
Creativity as a Language for Healing
As part of an inspiring new partnership, a powerful new art programme is being launched at Afikei Ohr.
This initiative is designed to nurture creativity, confidence and talent by opening the door to high-quality arts education and professional artistic mentorship. Through structured workshops, meaningful creative experiences and access to respected artists, the programme will give girls the space to express themselves in new and transformative ways.
For many of these young women, art is much more than a creative activity. It is a language for emotions that can be difficult to put into words. It is a tool for healing, a source of confidence, a way to process experiences, explore identity and imagine a future filled with possibility.
