The Ohr Yisraeli Youth Movement reaches over 7,000 young people across Israel through its 120 branches. Our mission is simple yet profound: “Proper behaviour precedes the Torah” – teaching and living the values of respect, kindness, responsibility, and integrity as the foundation for a life guided by Jewish tradition.
More Than Just After-School Activities
Ohr Yisraeli provides a safe, structured, and inspiring alternative to life on the streets. Each branch offers teens:
- Regular Torah classes to connect them to Jewish learning and heritage.
- Chesed (acts of kindness) programmes include visiting hospitals and army bases, delivering food packages, and supporting needy people.
- Mentorship from caring role models who guide them in making positive life choices.
Recreational trips during school breaks and summer create friendship, bonding, and leadership development opportunities.

Ohr Yisraeli is more than a youth club – it’s a national movement shaping future leaders. Our teens don’t just learn values – they live them. Our teens gain:
